Trust Me, I've Been There … As An Athlete, I Know How It Feels To Be Limited By Injuries, Pain and Lost Playing Time From Injuries
Â
Your instinct is to work harder, to do more repetitions, to spend more time trying to fix the pain to get yourself back into the game.  Â
Unfortunately, more often than not this pattern can make the muscles stronger but can also lead to layering strength over a disability and set up motor errors that lead to recurring injuries and pain.
Â
As A Sports Foot and Ankle Surgeon, I have seen the Most Common Lower Extremities Diagnoses over the past 3 decades in sports medicine.
Â
Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendonitis, heel pain, shin splints/stress fractures, anterior knee pain, and iliotibial band syndrome, and I will tell you these diagnoses are indiscriminate.
I have treated EVERY walk of life for these issues. They affect the young and old, from non-athletes to professional athletes. Â
But, I have determined WHY most people get these injuries and painful conditions.Â
And, almost ALL are readily correctable without expensive treatments, injections, and surgeries.
What They All Have In Common Is:
Issues in the QUALITY of movement.Â
Particularly, how we react to gravity. Â
How we move and especially HOW WE LAND.Â
This is why I have developed a course onÂ
“Optimizing athletic performance and durability through developmental movement TECniques."
TECnique concepts were created to “simPLAYfy”(™) building and rebuilding the ability to identify your motor errors and habits that lead to common injuries, pain, and weakness.Â
Once identified, we create a natural, scientifically derived stepwise progression to create or recreate an efficient, strong, and durable foundation of developmental movements that create the basis for complex athletic ability and durability.
Â
“For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction” Isaac Newton’s 3rd Law of Motion.  Gravity is a LAW. So, what goes up, must come down!  It has been said “It is not how high you jump from, it is how fast you stop that creates the injury” The force of our bodies striking the ground can be extreme. Think about repeating these errors 10,000 times a day. Simply, habitual errors in how we land can have serious effects on our bodies.
Â
TECnique was specifically created to focus awareness on improved developmental movement patterns specifically to improve how we move off of the ground and how we land. Further, it was created to overcome the ever-increasing habits of the sedentary demands of the modern world that are reinforcing motor habits that lead to innumerable and costly PREVENTABLE overuse/misuse injuries. Â
Â
1 of every 5 people in the world now suffers life-threatening chronic diseases as a result of a sedentary lifestyle.
The antidote is MovemenD(™).Â
“It is adaptation, not strength that allows the greatest chance for survival.”Â
Charles Darwin
